Arranging music can range from expanding a melody for several instruments to orchestrating a song for a large ensemble to re-composing a piece of music to fit within a new instrumentation, genre and key with several new additions. In other words, it varies quite a bit depending upon what is needed. I am adept at covering a large range of these requests.
I mostly work within the commercial, jazz, pop and rock music genres, but I have done it all to some degree. Do you need your pop song written out and notated for a lead sheet to be used by a rock band? No problem. Do you want your favorite Beatles song arranged for a string quartet in time for your wedding? I can do that too. You just need horn parts for that funk/jazz band you are working with? I already have many to choose from. Or perhaps you want a big band version of Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony. That’s a tall order, but give me a couple months and it can be done.
